We are happy to announce that the mandatory Tridion Docs 15.1 Update 2 is released.

We continue to deliver latest product fixes, third-party library updates, security patches, and platform improvements by using our fully automated “Update” release vehicle. Update 2 for Tridion Docs 15.1 includes Update 1, that was released in Q3 2024 and supersedes it.

Oxygen AI Positron Assistant

Oxygen XML Editor version 27.0 was released in November 2024; six months after Tridion Docs 15.1. One of the features of this Oxygen 27.0 release was an improved AI Positron Assistant which became available in Oxygen XML Editor version 26.1 which is fully supported in Tridion Docs 15.1.

Tridion Docs 15.1 Update 2 version of Tridion Docs Authoring Bridge for Oxygen enables experimentation with latest Oxygen AI Positron Assistant. However, official support for Oxygen 27.1 will be announced as part of Tridion Docs 15.2 that is coming by the end of Q2 of 2025.

Publication Manager

Publication Manager contains the set of improvements and fixes.

Publication Manager was not showing highlighting while using drag and drop on a Content tree view, now the issue is resolved.

The performance of Publication Manager was improved in various areas: selecting topics or items in the Baseline tab in a very large publication, populating topic properties, and retrieving metadata.

Collective Spaces

Draft Space includes fixes for cursor visibility in inline elements with conditions while previously it was not displayed correctly.

Cursor inside conditioned-out content

Draft Space addresses an issue with inline decorative images when the alt text for an image could not be left empty. Accessibility compliance of W3C’s WCAG standard dictates to use empty alt text (alt="") for these images so screen readers can ignore them. We've added an accessibility feature to allow empty alt text for inline images, as suggested on the ideas portal.

Draft Space now allows you to insert components (either using Structure > Insert Component > Insert new component or Structure > Insert Component > Insert existing component) when map is referenced using mapref.

Finally, users of Review Space can now copy text of replies, while previously it was possible for users with administrative role only.

Performance improvements

Performance for Database Upgrade Tool (DBUT) conversion of date-time values to UTC was improved, this will reduce database upgrade time for customers upgrading for first time to Tridion Docs 15.1 release.

Throughput for Metrics synchronization process using background task service was improved by reducing the batch size.

The Solr FullTextIndex subsystem, maintained by the Crawler service, experienced throughput issues and out of memory errors when handing large amounts of content objects (5000 or more). This issue is now addressed which enables increased throughput for higher loads.

Security updates

Update 2 also includes recent security updates to keep high standards of Security policy.
