Hi folks,
I've got a set of roughly 14,000 topics that I need to export in order to perform bulk search/replace actions. The Search feature from the Content Manager let's me select them in sets of 20 per page. Please tell me that I don't have to mouse my way through 3,500 pages of selecting in order to do this. There must be a way of selecting whole set at once, right? Or showing more results per screen?

And it turns out, it's even worse than I thought. When I move from screen to screen, selecting the contents of each screen as I go, the selections are forgotten as soon as I leave the screen, so I can select a maximum of 20 files per export. For 14,000 topics. Wow. I did not see that coming.

If I understand your issue correctly, I would throw all those topics into a map and put the map in a pub. Then you could export the whole pub or publish it to the DITA XML output which will put everything in a zip folder that you could download.

Probably the best way to do this would be to write an ishremote script to perform a repository-wide search given certain parameters and tail the resulting list to a file extract function. This would not be difficult (15-20 lines of code max imo).
