Can anybody offer advice with error message "Cannot access a disposed object. Object name: 'WorkAreaForm'"?

I have a lot of problems with the message "Cannot access a disposed object. Object name: 'WorkAreaForm'". It is VERY annoying. Every time it happens I must close down the editor, restart it, and start from scratch with my objects. Sometimes I must also restart my PC, which takes an even longer time.

I have seen that this issue has been discussed before, and I have tried to increase the timeout limits as suggested in one of the two posts. That doesn't help.

I'd appreciate it if someone could give me some advice here.

BTW: I am using Oxygen with Tridion Docs 14 SP3.

  • Hello Ragnar,

We experienced a similar issue when we upgrade our TDX from 13 to 14. At that time, the issue was resolved by cleaning up the local storage of TDX.

  • Good morning Naoki!

Thanks a lot for your reply. Cleaning up the local storage is a good idea, but I am afraid it is not a relevant solution in my situation. I do this every time I start the editor, but I still have the "WorkAreaForm" error from time to time.

My problem is that I do not know where the error message comes from. Is it an Oxygen message or a Tridion Docs message? Also, like many other error messages, it doesn't really offer any information that I can use for troubleshooting. I don't know what a "WorkAreaForm" is!

    Regards, Ragnar
