Trados Business Manager – End of Life Announcement

Trados Business Manager (TBM) has reached end of life. Following the discontinuation of TBM sales on 31 October 2023, all maintenance and support services will conclude on 31 October 2024.
What Does This Mean for TBM Users?

  • End of Services: RWS will no longer provide any services related to the installation or updating of TBM.
  • Existing Installations: TBM will remain functional where already installed, but the RWS support team will not offer assistance in troubleshooting issues, addressing reported problems, or providing further development for TBM.
  • Documentation: The TBM documentation has been removed from docs.rws.com.
  • Community Support: The community forum for TBM will remain accessible in a read-only format for users to reference if needed.

Release Notes

This section lists the enhancements and fixes contained in SDL BaccS starting with version 5.0.1.0, which is the first version of this product released by SDL.

We are constantly reviewing and improving our products. We release enhancements and fixes to resolve customer issues as and when required.

This release features five products:

  • SDL BaccS Lite: this is a plugin that is fully integrated into SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR1 CU3 and above. It provides a complete invoicing/quoting system for Freelance translators and is available through the SDL AppStore and the SDL Trados website.
  • SDL BaccS Connector: this is a plugin that provides additional functionality integrating the SDL BaccS Desktop/Team/Online versions with SDL Trados Studio 2019. The plugin is only useful when used in conjunction with the aforementioned products.
  • SDL BaccS Desktop: this is a standalone product for the individual translator who is working with small teams, or just wants greater flexibility over his/her business management tasks.
  • SDL BaccS Team: this is a standalone product for small teams that supports the sharing of a single database if it's saved in a location on a server where multiple users can gain access to it. It also uses a network licence which removes the need to have named users for all the available licences.
  • SDL BaccS Team Online: this is an on-premise product installed on a server so that users can work with it in a web environment through a browser, and/or by using a Team version of the desktop product.
