I didn't find the manual download link for this upgrade in your post.
My installed Trados has consistently failed to check or install updates for a long time, even in Trados 2017.
Please provide a manual link for downloading and installing this CU.

What is the latest CU for Studio 2017 SR1 ?
Ths KB may be more useful... looks like the old one was lost after the KB was changed:

No it's not. They only offer uopgrades from 2021. If you go down the page they just state "

But that is not my current concern. I need MyMemory or SDL Cloud to work...
Both of these may be a problem for you as your version of 2017 is unsupported so I doubt either will create any fixes if something needs to be fixed as opposed to just correcting your installation. But log the case as I have told you three times now and we can arrange for a support engineer to take a look.

I would buy Studio 2021 if I knew that would solve the problem... But what is the problem? I raised a thread as you told me. I am not used to loose time on technical problems (3 days now). Same when I upgrade the license, there is always a loss of time...
I have no idea what the problem is. You have not raised a separate thread as asked. Perhaps you can provide the link and I’ll check. I looked out for it last night and again just now and don’t see any post from you.

Will I still be able to use Studio 2017 if I buy the 2021 upgrade?
When I upgraded from 2011 to 2014, I could do that and for example have an alignment done on 2011 while working on a translation on 2014.
When I upgraded from 2014 to 2017, I could not use both I would be asked for an activation code for 2014 which was not valid anymore although I had bought a "perpetual license",

I believe that the upgrade from 2017 to 2021 involves you losing the right to use 2017 and it is replaced in your account with 2021. Having said this if you don't deactivate it then it will continue to work for as long as it runs and you don't deactivate or try to move to a new computer. Once you deactivate you won't be able to reactivate it. If you want to be able to always continue using 2017 you need to purchase a new licence and not an upgrade.

Technically any upgrade is really a replacement. If we allowed the ability to keep it then you were in luck... and we have made this decision a few times between versions, especially when the changes are substantially different in some way. But an upgrade means you pay less than the price of a new licence because you relinquish the licence to the old one.
Perpetual licence just means it's yours until you relinquish it by upgrading at which point the new one is the valid licence.
