PROBLEM : How to get the analysis statistics from a project created in the webUI? (UPDATE : faulty setting?)

Hello!

We've been having a problem since we started creating projects from the webUI and it's becoming quite annoying.

When we create a project with a template uploaded in the server, it pretranslates and publishes successfully. However, when we open studio, the word count is at 0 and there is no analysis.

The template is the same we use when we create project from studio 2019 sr2. It has the same automated tasks in the same order and it works.

Here is what's weird : when we create a project from the webui using the same template BUT with no TMs, the statistics are accurate (repetitions), filled and the word count is there :

Screenshot of Trados Studio showing a project with a word count of 0 and no analysis data displayed.

As soon as we put one server based tm, with the same settings :

Screenshot of Trados Studio displaying accurate statistics with repetitions filled and word count present when no TMs are used.

Yet, in the file :

Screenshot of a vertical list of automated tasks in Trados Studio with no visible errors or warnings.

We thought that perhaps we have to use the task Groupshare Analyze and Translate but when we do put it in automated tasks we get this:

Screenshot of a Trados Studio error message stating 'Could not find a part of the path' with a file directory and task ID.

We also do not know how to activate it since the option is greyed out :

Screenshot of Trados Studio automated tasks dropdown menu with the 'Groupshare Analyze and Translate' option greyed out.

I don't know if the 2 are related but if we could get the statistics working it would be nice.

UPDATE : It turns out that as soon as we check the following setting in Analyze Files, the statistics will be at 0 :

Screenshot of Trados Studio 'Analyze Files' settings with the 'Report internal fuzzy match leverage' option checked.

This doesn't really solve my problem since we need the internal fuzzy match and an analysis without it will have different results.

We are using Studio 2019 sr2 + Groupshare 2017 CU10

  • Hi Vincent,

If you create a project in the GS Web UI you will not see the Analysis in Studio. And the other way around. Please check for the projects you created from the Web UI, after you click on the project name and on the right side, you have 3 buttons, the one on the right switched to the Analysis. Do you see anything there for projects created from the Web UI? If you do, then this is working as intended and it is a limitation that we have an enhancement reported to Development for.

Trados Studio project progress interface showing 0% preparation, 100% translation, 0% review, and 0% finalisation with an estimated project progress of 81%. Highlighted 'Switch to reports view' button on the right.

I will add another comment about the second question on that Beta Batch Task. Be right back ...
