I keep being asked to log in to a GroupShare server in Studio 2024 even when working on offline projects for other clients

Since I upgraded to Studio 2024, I have had the following problem:

Whenever I open Studio to work on an offline project, I inevitably get a Log-in window that pops up, asking for my login and password to a GroupShare server that I sometimes have to use for one of my clients.

I understand being asked to log in when actually accessing that server, but it is really annoying still having to log in when working on an unrelated, offline project.

My worry is also that if the GroupShare licence for the incriminated server came to be revoked by my client, I would end up being unable to work on offline projects for other clients.

I have tried deleting all the GroupShare projects from my project list so I only have offline projects left, but that did not solve the problem.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you.

I did notice that if I add a server and close Studio, even though the credentials work, when I restart Studio it doesn't automatically try to connect, so it looks as though something is still calling the server on your machine:

Screenshot of a 'Servers' dialog box with a server URL listed and a status message indicating 'Not available.'

If you have removed all your GroupShare projects, and removed the server connection (File -> Setup -> Servers), restarted Studio and this still happens then try a reset.

To do this just close Trados Studio and then rename this folder:

    c:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio18\

    to c:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio18_old\

And as a belt and braces you could delete this folder as well:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Platform\

That removes any servers you might have active.  It won't  break your ability to add a server if you have another project to work on, but will remove any that might be getting seen by Trados through that folder.

Then restart Trados Studio and see if that helped.
