I've noticed you have two accounts under your email address.  One in your company account with the licence and one in your own account without a licence. Please can you make sure you are logged in with the company account?

Also make sure that the apps you are trying to download are actually available for 2022.  You can see this here:

Check this before downloading from the web.  Or, even better, use the integrated AppStore in Trados Studio 2022 and then you will ONLY be presented with the aps that are available for you and will actually work with 2022.  If you don't see an app in here then don't try and take it from the appstore because it won't work in this version of Studio anyway.

I have a case with a user that has a Subscription based license for Studio 2021 and cannot access apps like Glossary converter from the AppStore.

Thank you for advising this.  If you speak to Radu he can tell you this has already been escalated to the OOS team who will need to make some changes on their side to support this.

One possibilty why we can't download plugins might be due to the personal vs company account, however even when I am logged in with the company account, it says I don't have the correct license. I wonder if it is defaulting to my personal account?  In the top right, it says 'Jennifer' regardless of which account I've selected. Screenshot below.

Wen I try via the desktop app, I get the an error message 'Download failed. Make sure you are signed in to Language Cloud'. When I try from the online app store, it seems to revert to my personal account and says I don't have the appropriate license (which is linked to the company and not to my personal account). This is even when I have selected the company account and then navigate directly to the appstore.

Is it possible for someone at Trados to send me the plugins I need and I can install them directly?

We just published this a few minutes ago as a way to distribute plugins to users of Trados Studio 2021 and 2022.

Hi again Paul,

After we installed the plugins in this way, we tried to restart Trados but now it won't open at all. Our IT company have run all the repairs they can but say the problem lies with the software and we need to contact Trados for support. However, without a Trados support contract, please can you advise what we should do? Is there anyone who can help us out without us paying for a support contract?

Which plugins did you install?  It could be that one (or more) need correcting.  Please try the following:

1. First... share a screenshot of all the plugins you have in here:
   c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\17\Plugins\Packages\
   Like this:
   
   
   
2. then delete the contents of both of these folders and see if Trados starts:
   c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\17\Plugins\Packages\
   c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\17\Plugins\Unpacked\

2 Record Source TU

3 Multilingual Excel

4 Data Protection Suite

I can't access the folder where the plugins should be saved so have forwarded your response to our IT company. Will update you next week. Thank you again for your help.

ok - the problem may be this one:

3 Multilingual Excel

When you speak to them try removing that one only, then download and install again.
