No access to NMT

When trying to use the cloud-based resources (NMT), I get no translation results, and the following error message appears: "An error has occurred while using the translation provider Machine Translation: No entitlement found".

I am working with Trados Studio 2024 Freelance, and I am signed into my RWS account.

How can I resolve this problem, so that I can benefit from NMT?

"Question improvement suggestion": Please provide the exact version of Trados Studio 2024 Freelance you are using and any recent changes you made to the system or software. Also, it would be helpful if you could share the troubleshooting steps you have already taken to resolve this issue.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

Based on the error message you're receiving, it seems like there might be an issue with your entitlement to the Neural Machine Translation (NMT) service. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this:

Step 1: Ensure you are signed in to your RWS account in Trados Studio. You can do this by going to the 'Sign in' button in the right corner of Trados Studio and entering your RWS ID - email and password.

Step 2: On your project, go to 'Project Settings' and add the 'SDL Language Cloud...' provider from 'Project Settings > Language Pairs > [...] > Translation Memory and Automated Translation > Use...'

Step 3: Click on 'Save' in the RWS Language Cloud window that shows the NMT Model and Dictionaries used. The option 'SDL Machine Translation' should be by default checked.

Step 4: Now you should be able to use Language Cloud as a provider for machine translation. You can also add Translation Engines from this window.

If you have followed these steps and are still experiencing issues, it may be that your Trados Live/Language Cloud subscription is not active for your account. In this case, please contact RWS Support for further assistance.

  • Step 2: there is no such options. Instead I have enabled the existing option "Cloud-based resources"
