Une erreur s'est produite durant l'utilisation du fournisseur de traductions [name local translation memory] : L'index contenait une clé dupliquée

Hi, I have exactly the same problem, but with my usual local translation memory. When I create a new project and search for a word that I often translate and that I am sure is in the TM (via Ctrl + 3) nothing shows up and there is this error message: "Une erreur s'est produite durant l'utilisation du fournisseur de traductions [name of local translation memory] : L'index contenait une clé dupliquée" I chose the TM as usual during the project creation process. I don't know what to do. When I go into the TM via the bottom left function (dictionnary use of the TM), I can see that the entries are there. The TM was correctly updated when finalizing the projects that contained the words I was looking for but the search function does not work "within" any new project that I create. And I also have the same problem described by the other user: Trados sometimes tells me the file names are too long. This has started all of a sudden without changing anything. What do I do?

Thank you very much for your help!

  • Hello @Andrea Ludwig ,

As the error references the 'index'- this could suggest that the TM has somehow become corrupted.

The first thing I would try, is to repair the TM using - SDLTM Repair- free from the SDL App Store
    appstore.sdl.com/.../

If this does not work I would suggest exporting the TM to TMX and then reimport into a new TM

Although TM's are robust and do not corrupt that easily- It is still a good idea to keep all your resources backed up on a regular basis.

  • Hi Steven,

Thank you very much for your answer! Unfortunately, the repair does not work. I downloaded the Repair stoftware but when I choose the TM and click on repair, there is an error message saying "Une erreur non gérée s'est produite dans votre application (…)". When I click on "Continue" (anyways), nothing happens.

So I do have a backup of my files from one month ago. Do I understand correctly and what you are suggesting is that I replace the corrupted TM in the TM folder by this older version? Should I maybe wait until I finish the pending projects that I am working on? Do you think replacing it right away could cause some sort of trouble? After having replaced it, I should be able to open all of the projects that I worked on during this month and to finalize them again (or just use the task "update project/main TMs"?) in order to update the TM? Is this how I should proceed?

Thank you very much for your help!
