The error message disappeared on the following day but I'm afraid I still don't see how the software can have believed that I was anywhere near the 4,000 word limit - the factors mentioned in the article don't apply to this instance.

At least it's working again, for now at any rate.

Hello Glyn,

Would you like me to get a report on your usage statistics?  We don't do this as a matter of course but it might help to understand whether the problem is on our end, or if you are really using more than you think?

Yes please, that would be great! It wasn't the first time that the BeGlobal Community service was not available  (it's gone again today, for example) although I never previously noticed the error messages so don't know if the previous instances were for the same reason, or not. But, if they were, I don't think I ever get in the region of translating 4000 words within a 24 hr period; I'm mostly a part-time translator and not the sort who races through texts.

If you don't mind having a look, that would be great - it would perhaps help make things a little easier to understand.
