BeGlobal Community word limit error message

Hi,

I no longer have access to the automated translations offered by the BeGlobal Community, I have received the following error message: "An error has occurred whilst using the translation provider SDL BeGlobal Community The SDL BeGlobal server returned the following error: 2004 The user has reached the maximum number of words for this day"

I understand that there is now a daily limit of 4,000 words per 24-hr period but, when I received this message, I had only translated approx 1,300 words. I had not translated anything at all for the 3 days prior to this. And the error message remains.

Can anybody help to explain why this should happen? And how this usage limit can be reset so I can continue to use this resource?

Thankful in advance for any advice.

  • Hi again Paul,

Yes please, that would be great! It wasn't the first time that the BeGlobal Community service was not available  (it's gone again today, for example) although I never previously noticed the error messages so don't know if the previous instances were for the same reason, or not. But, if they were, I don't think I ever get in the region of translating 4000 words within a 24 hr period; I'm mostly a part-time translator and not the sort who races through texts.

If you don't mind having a look, that would be great - it would perhaps help make things a little easier to understand.

    Thank you!

    Glyn
