I get "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" when trying to create a Cloud Project, and I also have the "No internet connection" error. Are these two related?

possibly... I recommend you create a new thread and provide the full details of your error message since the object ref. title is very generic and could account for a multitude of things that we can't answer without seeing the full stack:
