I am writing a quiz about RWS Post-Editing Certification and on this quiz, they asked me the following question: "If a translation memory used for creating a customized model has inconsistent target segments with both formal and informal style, which option will the MT output contain?" If the translation memory contains both formal and informal data, the MT output will contain both styles, as it is learning from all training data. To have the MT output produce only one type of output (formal or informal), you'd need to ensure the training data is consistent in terms of the desired formality level.
