My new SDL MultiTerm 2017 conversion wizard converts all of my Spanish terminology into Chinese characters!!!!

Question

I have been converting all of my glossaries from legacy versions and Excel files to my new SDL 2017 MultiTerm formats using the conversion wizard. I have been sorely disappointed to find that all of my Spanish entries appear to be converted into Chinese characters!!! Some of the other fields such as description and notes also contain Chinese characters and none of the source data is converted. This is a significant problem and I hope there's a fix for this.

As Jerzy mentioned your files may not have been in UTF-8 encoding which could cause a problem like this. But I'd also recommend you take a look at the Glossary Converter as this skips some steps and may protect your files better if you lost the encoding during the process you went through.
