"The object invoked has disconnected from its clients.Detected premature stub rundown for call on IID:, method:7,"

Hello everyone,

I hope somebody can help me with this.

For the last couple of days I am getting the following error when I try to add a new term into multiterm 2017 from within Studio 2017 by using the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+F2 (also if I try to do it from them menu itself).

Error message in Trados Studio stating 'The object invoked has disconnected from its clients. Detected premature stub rundown for call on ID. method7, PID:PID, type of rundown:1.' with an OK button.

I have tried repairing the Studio installation from Control Panel, and it worked briefly, I managed to add one or two new terms, but then I started getting the same error. After that, I have also installed the latest update to Studio and, again, although it work for the first two or three terms newly added, then the error started showing again.

Has anyone come across this problem and has a solution?

It would be very much appreciated.

Thank you all in advance,

Toni

  • Hi Steve,

Webroot is actually quite a good product, in the 15 years I have used it (I first learnt of it because I translated their product into Spanish :-), I have never had any virus or hacking related problems in my system.

I will whitelist Studio and Multiterm to be on the safe side.
In the meantime I have uninstalled a minor Windows update (date of installation matches when the problem started). So far, and it's been a couple of hours already, the problem has not occurred any more.

I thank you again for your help.
I will definitely whitelist the AV and I am keeping the articles about resetting Studio and Multiterm for future reference.

    Cheers,
    T
