Can't re-install Multiterm 2017

After  Multiterm 2017 repeatedly crashed when I tried to search, I decided to re-install. However, having de-installed, I now find I can't re-install. I go to my Downloads, the name of the .exe file is there, but it is not a link, and clicking on it produces no response.

    Maybe you could try a couple of things-

     

    First of all please make sure you are logged on to the computer as 'admin' (and not as secondary user). As this sounds like a 'permissions issue...

    Once you click on the download tab and the download begins- you will see this when you go to your browser and check the downloads tab (this is an example for Chrome)-

    Then show in folder - and then you can start the installation.

     

    Please let me know if this helps- if not please provide some screen shots so we can see the status-

    You can do this by selecting advanced options at the bottom of this screen and than adding the screen shots.
