  • Hi ,

I have removed the updates and tried to replicate your situation. Please can you check that you don't have another window open in the background that may be prompting you to install? I managed to repro this situation and then the notifications won't show any more. If that is not the case then please go to your windows updates in Add Remove Programs and remove the last CUs for MultiTerm 2017 SR1. Then restart and try again.

  • Hi Paul,

No, there was no open installation prompt window in the background.

CU6 was listed as the latest update installed in Start > Control Panel > Go to Programs > Programs and Features > View installed updates, but the version number displayed in MultiTerm > About SDL MultiTerm was 14.1.2471 (CU5), which seemed to indicate that CU6 was not fully installed. SDL MultiTerm 2017 SR1 Core was in version 14.2.23639 while SDL MultiTerm 2017 SR1 Desktop was in version 14.1.2471.

So I followed your advice and uninstalled and reinstalled CU6.

After opening MT, the About SDL MultiTerm dialogue box showed version number 14.2.23639. In Settings > Apps & features, both SDL MultiTerm 2017 SR1 Core and MultiTerm 2017 SR1 Desktop were in version 14.2.23639, but all the entries of my TB were locked for editing (Edit contextual menu item greyed, see below).

Screenshot of Trados Studio showing a contextual menu with options Delay Type Ahead Searching, Edit (greyed out and unavailable), Add Copy, and Delete.

So I created a new TB using a TB definition file and reimported my entries using a previously exported XML file with full reorganization.

Reorganization failed due to insufficient locks available for file sharing, so I reorganize separately after the import. It worked, except that the Edit contextual menu item is still unavailable on all my TB's entries in Default layout. Edit is available in Flags layout.

Do you know how I can bring back the Edit in Default layout?

    Thanks for your help.

    Best regards,

    Pascal
