Picklist fields: unable to edit

I can't edit any picklist fields, in any entry, in any termbase.

 

At first I thought it might have been something about the database, so I opened another -- no joy.

 

So I created a new termbase -- no joy there either.

 

Here's an example:

I click on the tick box -- nothing happens. Or rather, it darkens so long as I hold the mouse button down while pointing to it, but doesn't get checked.

 

The only thing that does work is clicking Check all, which indeed checks all.

 

Anyone any ideas?

    I'm glad that you were able to find an answer on the Community even without any of us actually replying to you. I was travelling so didn't see your post.

    Thank you for posting the solution here, it's really helpful for future searches.

    Windows Repair is designed to smooth out software malfunctions that could be caused by software  updates or installation of a new piece of software for example. The correct functionality of any complex software can be subject to interference from other software or from the operating system itself - especially after a big update whether it's the software itself, another piece of software or Windows itself. 

    Studio also benefits from the occasional Windows Repair.
