I can't save a new data base in Multiterm | No puedo guardar una nueva base de datos en Multiterm

Error message in Trados Studio when trying to save a new term database: 'The file cannot be found. Check the file's name and try again'. File path shown is 'C:UsersqueenDesktopNueva base terminologica.sdltb'. As you can see, when I am about to create and save a new term data base (without any definition file or term written already), it says "The file cannot be found. Check the file's name and try again", and it happens no matter where I want to save it and no matter what name I write for the base. Can anyone help me? Thank you!

¡Muchas gracias!

  • Hi

    You didn't mention the version of MultiTerm you are using, so assuming this is Multiterm standalone and not Studio where the recent versions also allow you to create a new termbase, try a reset.

    Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart MultiTerm:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL MultiTerm\MultiTerm14

    I referred to the MultiTerm 2017 folder since you didn't mention your version. Look for the appropriate number for your version.

    2019 => 15
    2017 => 14
    2015 => 12
    2014 => 11
    2011 => 10
