You're on the right lines.  The easiest way to convert your spreadsheet is to use the Glossary Converter from the appstore.  For that to work you need one row per terminological entry.  So one "coefficient" and then the Russian words in one cell separated with a pipe symbol (default), or any other symbol you like.

If you use MultiTerm Convert you need one row again, but you put the synonyms in separate columns.

Thanks a lot, Paul. It helped. I placed all the Russian multiple translations in different columns of the same row and gave the columns the same name, and MultiTerm Convert recognized them in the settings window.

Also, I found that before import it's possible to activate "Sinchronize on Term" option in the termbase settings, which leads to automatic merging of the same terms in left (Eng) column into one entry. So it does the same job, but your option is better for easier spreadsheet editing I reckon.
