multiterm is unable to retrieve the multimedia object

Question

when I open a project on SDL Trados Studio 2021, that has a termbase added, I see a message says "General error occured multiterm is unable to retrieve the multimedia object". 
 Also when I try ti add a termbase to a project, I see the same error message. 
 Could you please help or explain reasons for this?
