TB not showing Terms on Term Recognition

Hello,

I am working on a translation for which the client provided a TB.  Although I have imported it into the Trados, it does not show any terms. Is there anything else I should do to visualize it?

I'm using Trados Studio 2021 SR2 - 16.2.12.9338

Screenshot of Trados Studio Term Recognition pane displaying the message 'No results available.'

Screenshot of Trados Studio Hitlist Settings window with options for Language and Termbase, Terms, and Fields.

Screenshot of Trados Studio TermBase configuration window showing TermBase Name, Project Language, and Mapped Language in the Selected TermBase.

Thank you in advance for your time and support!

  • hello,

same problem here since my upgrade to 2024, my client gives me a "ML.TB" to be used with the corresponding plugin; it used to work until recently. Now it does not work on versions 2021, 2022 and 2024. Please help! Thanks

Can you share a screenshot of the editor view showing sentences that contain terms that are in your termbase?

Can you confirm the full version number you have for MultiTerm?  You have us this for Studio - Trados Studio 2021 SR2 - 16.2.12.9338 - which is great, but what about MultiTerm?  Normally it's important to use a particular version with the version of Studio you have installed.  So for Trados Studio 2021 SR2 - 16.2.12.9338 you should be using MultiTerm 2021 - 16.2.1.1044.

    Also, try reorganising your termbase.

What is an "ML.TB" and what is the corresponding plugin?  Sounds like a completely different problem to me and one that should perhaps be posted in the AppStore forums, not here.

  • Hi, Paul!

ML.TB is a connector plugin for accessing a remote termbase provided by that client.
I am having a similar problem with Win11 Home (single language Pt-BR) + Trados Studio 2024, both in their most recent versions. According to the client, this can be solved by installing Win11 in English, as the problem seems to be related to TS24 and expected pathnames.
I will upgrade my Win11 to Pro, and do a clean install as English. If that works, I'll post it here.
