All WorldServer termbases showing up in MultiTerm Desktop

I'm pretty sure this is new behavior in MultiTerm Desktop 2024. We work with WorldServer, and whenever we open a WS project in Trados Studio, the termbase will be added to the Termbase Management section of MultiTerm Desktop:

Screenshot of MultiTerm Desktop 2024 showing a list of termbases automatically added from WorldServer projects, including multiple entries labeled with timestamps.

This becomes very tedious when you work on several projects a day, as if you don't remove them manually you will eventually wind up with dozens or hundreds of termbases in the list. Furthermore, adding these termbases serves no purpose that I can see. If I wanted them there, I could just add them myself. They didn't use to be added automatically. Is it possible to somehow prevent this from happening?

Question improvement suggestion: Provide specific details about the version of MultiTerm Desktop you are using and any troubleshooting steps you have already attempted to resolve the issue.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello,

It seems that the behavior you are experiencing with MultiTerm Desktop 2024, where termbases from WorldServer are automatically added to the Termbase Management section, is indeed a change in functionality. Currently, this is by design, and there is no built-in option to prevent this from happening. However, the RWS Development team is aware of this enhancement request and is considering it for a future release.

While waiting for a potential update, here are a few steps you can take to manage the termbases more effectively:

**Step 1:** Regularly review the Termbase Management section in MultiTerm Desktop and remove any termbases that are no longer needed.

**Step 2:** If you find that the automatic addition of termbases is becoming too cumbersome, consider creating a routine to clean up the list at the end of each day or week.

**Step 3:** Keep an eye on updates from RWS regarding this feature, as they may implement a solution in future releases.
