Not sure exactly which small window you mean, but I assume you mean the Term Recognition window. I agree, Studio could be a lot better in this respect. First of all, you can't show term hits alphabetically, which makes it extremely hard to locate anything in long lists of hits.

Something else which could be much better is how the hits are displayed in the Ctrl+Shift+L window. It would be more useful if it was immediately expanded. The fact that it opens so small, hiding most of the hits is not very useful. It would also be much better if it were alphabetical.

In my view, CafeTran has the ideal system for locating term base hits when you don't know what you are looking for, or the first letter of your target term. It has sth called the Match Bar, which is an alphabetical term match bar, which shows a letter for each group of hits. If there is no relevant hit, that letter won't be shown. You can also trigger parts of it by clicking Ctrl twice, followed by the first letter of the source term you are looking for. Note that I said source term, not target term, which is very, very useful for when you don't know what you are looking for. IMO, no other CAT tool has anything as intuitive for quickly searching your termbases, and then inserting a match into your target box, all without leaving your keyboard. memoQ's AutoPick system, and Studio's Ctrl+Shift+L System just don't compare.
