How to handle tabs and line breaks in a tmx file?

When translating an XML file in Trados Studio 2021 I encountered an issue with line breaks and tabs.

The file contains strings such as this:

\n\t\tSamsung: Anynet+ \n\t\tLG: Simplink \n\t\tSony: Bravia sync \n\t\tPhilips: EasyLink \n\t\tSharp: Aquos Link \n\t\tPanasonic: HDAVI Control, EZ-Sync o VIERA Link \n\t\tToshiba: CE-Link o Enlace Regza

These \n (line breaks) and \t (tabs) are not processed by the filter.

Is there any way to process it as such? All help is appreciated!

I went over the options in the filter, but could not find a solution.

    You'll get a better answer from someone if you provide a snippet of the XML inside a well formed and complete XML.  You don't need to provide the full file, just make sure there is enough of it so if you get some help you'll be able to implement it yourself.

    The AI response is accurate too, but without you providing better context you won't get a better answer.
