Hello,
I'm facing a problem with Studio 2014. I am trying to open a .xlf document, but when I try to do it, I receive the following error message: "Riferimento a un oggetto non impostato su un’istanza di oggetto". I have tried to open it checking source and target languages with my client several times, but I can't understand what the problem is.
I would greatly appreciate your help.

Hi Angelica,
Always a good idea to save the stacktrace and attach it to your post as the object reference error message is too generic on the basis of the title alone:
Perhaps also try correcting the language codes in the xliff file so they are it-IT and es-ES perhaps. Shouldn't make a difference but you are using quite an old version of the software now and this might be triggering this error. Good to rule the language codes out anyway.
Also, are you able to share the source file? You can email it to pfilkin@sdl.com if this is acceptable?

My client and I made different tests in order to realize what the problem was, but I received the same error message. I saved and attached the stacktrace for you this time, and I am sending you an email with the source file.
I think it could be an incompatibilty problem between Frame Maker 2015 and Trados Studio 2014, what do you think?
After all this info, what could you recommend as a solution?
