Hi Michael,

Unless I'm misunderstanding your post, it seems that Studio is right in saying that the language pair is not supported, as it is reversed. In other words, your TM is EN-DE, but you're trying to use it for DE-EN. In that case, you would have to add it as an AnyTM.

My suggestion would be to create two projects, one for de-DE » en-US and one for en-US » gd-GB, with all the settings you need for each, and then simply drop your files into the appropriate project, assuming you get source files to work with.

So after I read this and tried several things, none of which seemed to work, I restarted my system for another reason and all of a sudden Studio accepted my TM. I decided to leave it at that, since it was working.

Well, up until just now. I opened an new file with the same setup that had been working since the 7th and all of a sudden Studio decides it no longer likes the setup - and before anyone asks, I haven't changed anything in the settings.

What is actually the *point* of this dratted AnyTM thing, can someone please explain that to me, because it makes absolutely no sense.

I mean, German » English isn't even a "weird" combination?

And even if I go along with this AnyTM stuff, it doesn't work, I end up with two TMs (which seem to have the same size so I assume they contain data) but it tells me there are no results from the TM even when I know they're there.

Basically, yes.

I think we would need to look closer at your Project to see what's going on here.  I have suffered with this recently myself but it was because I inadvertently created a TM I was testing with in the wrong direction, and the wrong variant, so got the same messages when I tried to use it.  If you have not made the dogs dinner I made of it, then we should step through your project slowly and note everything that is set, check the TMs in the TM Maintenance View etc.

I really need help urgently. I have both studio 2011 and studio 2017 installed, I use google translate plugin in both. in the 2011 everything works perfectly, but, with the same project and the same TMs, in the 2017 version, when I try using google translate, this message popups, saying the the provider does not support the language pair. I tried everything and don't find any solution for this. please advise
