Hello,
After installing a Windows 10 update, Trados started not to work anymore. It opens my file to translate (xlms,xliff) but then always reports: "riferimento a un oggetto non impostato su un'istanza di oggetto". Even the whole program remains blocked and I have to use the Activities Management to close it. Thank you for your prompt support.

Hi Paola,
The filetype definition you cannot resolve unless you upgrade. Studio 2011 is pretty old now, unsupported, and the reason for your message is that the sdlxliff you are working on was created using a more modern version of the product. You should still be able to translate the sdlxliff and return it, but you won't be able to save the target file, or use QuickInserts etc.
On the main error, as the reinstall didn't help please try a reset. Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\10.0.0.0
