Translation not displaying in full in Word

I'm translating a website which is laid out as a table in Word. I decided to use Studio (2014) to make life easier for myself, but I need to send the translation back as a Word file. I've just finished the translation, but when I view the target in Word or save it as a Word file, only the first few pages are in English (the target language) and the rest still shows up in the source language, German. I can't work out why it's not showing the rest of the translation. There's no sign of any missing tags or anything like that at the point where the translation is failing to display and I don't get any error messages when I save the target as a Word file.

I'd be really grateful for any suggestions - I need to deliver this by Tuesday 28th.

Thank you!

  • Hi Victoria,

This did occasionally happen with Studio 2014... not sure why... but if you go to the location in Studio where the text changes from target to source in your target file and copy the segments above and below from source to target then this usually resolves the problem.

So for example, if the problem occurred from segment 10 onwards then copy source to target for segments 8-12 (or at least make sure you get the whole paragraph). Then save target again.

It does mean you'll have to manually edit a few here and there but this may get the majority of the file out.

    Regards
