Thousands separators not replaced

I use Studio 2017 Freelance.

My thousands separators are not being replaced.  It is FR>EN, so it should replace periods with commas (e.g., 2.500.000 > 2,500,000).  The thousands figures are NOT underlined in blue.  But they do appear when I hit ctrl-comma.  They just remain as they were in the source.

*The "numbers" box IS ticked in the project settings for Auto-substitution.

My decimal separators are working fine (they're underlined in blue and 2,0% becomes 2.0%).

If anyone can help I'd certainly appreciate it.

  • Thanks for explaining this and so quickly. Though I can't change the source because I've got to reimport an XLF I've run through Studio to an agency's inferior tool (like Wordbee.) I had no idea something like number localization in a translation tool, in fact the most powerful one, would be out of reach. I find this amazing, actually. But I will change the source, to reflect not what French writers do but what Word thinks they do. (FYI despite what Google may say and despite what the gang in Seattle may say, the French use dots for thousands all the time, in newspapers, financial documents, etc. I mention this to suggest I can't be the only Studio user with this problem...) Anyway, thanks for the info.
