In all versions prior to Studio 2019 adding files worked by switching to the source language and preparing your files for all the languages in your project.  In 2019 it's more automated, but neither are particularly difficult.  I recorded a short video here to explain both approaches:

I am afraid what I see in File view is quite difrerent. I find no room for right click or adding any file 

The scroll bar is barely seen, very little (if not zero) possibility to scroll up or down. Files can be only added after you click on the extremely small button to the very top. File view only shows one file at a time and not the list,I find this extremely inefficient. Can there be a reasonable fixs to this issue?

Francis, thank goodness for your post. I'm a hardened Wordfast Pro user evaluating Studio to see if it would be better for handling SDL packages. I've spent ages trying to add an sdlxliff file to an existing project, and would never have managed it without the process you've described so clearly. Quite apart from the surprise at not finding the package TMs being added automatically.

So far, the workflow for handling SDL packages seems a lot more intuitive for a "common translator" like me in Wordfast than in the native SDL application. Fortunately I have a month's free trial to practise before reaching a verdict...

Quite apart from the fact 2021 doesn't work this way exactly, this is not the easiest way to handle a single sdlxliff file which is also not a package.  Perhaps, if you explain the process you are trying to work through we can help you tackle this in an easier way?

An agency sent me a package, which I set up as a project and got to work. They then sent me an additional file to add to the project, rather than creating a new package for me, hence the need to go through this process.

They also decided to change the target language variant in the middle of the project, but that's another matter.

Wouldn’t it be a good idea to post an explanation here of how it’s done in Studio 2021? If it is different procedure now it would be most helpful for people (such as me) who are searching for this problem today, since we are bound to find this thread in the search. thanks.
