TM and concordance not showing matches : Trados 2015

Hi SDL Trados Studio members,

I urgently need your expertise on SDL Trados Studio 2015.

The problem I have been coping with is that the fuzzy matches of my TM do not show any match result (in %).

I can see that there are lots of similar segments I have already translated. But as it does not show either the matches nor auto suggest the translation in the target column, I have to re-type the same translation text again.

My on-going project has a big volume of text to translate and I cannot waste my time to type the same sentence.

This has been happening after I boosted my computor.

Recently, I've updated the lastest version. It has changed automatically my SDL settings.

Also, it seems the TM I have added to my on-going project when starting to work is not really my last one.

The last TM I previously added to my on-going project seems not mine and there are too few content memories.

Please suggest me what I should do to get back the lastest TM and have it shown in % of the matches on my working project?

This will prevent me to retype the same sentences I have done before.

Thank you very much for your soonest feedback.

P.S. Sorry for my grammar errors in typing.

  • Hi Paul,

    Thank you for your soon reply. Infact, the problem concerned in looking at my concordance mathceds. I would like to save my time from avoiding to retype what I have already translated in my on-going project and in the previous projects or only change some words in the nearly similar sentences.

    I, now, have managed to resolve the problem.

    What I did was:
    - resetting the minimum and match value in the "Project settings" (from 100 to 70)
    => "Laguage Pairs" > All Laguages Pairs > Translation Memory and Automated Translation > Search > "Concordance"
    I did it also for each individual language pair. In my case: English to Thai

    - Upgrading the TM via "Batch Tasks"
    => "Upgrade Main Translation Memories"
    => "Upgrade Project Translation Memories"

    Thank you again and enjoy your Technical Days in Asia ;)!

    Kind Regards,
    Pawinee
