Discrepancies between analyses made with the same computer

Hello, I have another analysis related question. I have performed an analysis on a package, then divided it bewteen two translators and ran two different analyses on these two batches I created for the two translators. The main analysis I performed on the whole package is different from these two different analyses I did later. I know that cross file reps are not going to be the same because they don't have all the files, but why are there discrepancies between translator A's analysis of a given file and the package analysis for that same file? The computer and version of trados used to make these analyses were the same. Thank you very much!

  • You are still comparing apples with oranges.
Let's assume, your project has 10 files. You split it - and give twice 5 files to two translators.
Now you compare the analysis results for a file analyzed TOGETHER with 9 other files with the analysis results for the same file, analyzed together with 4 other files. This gives you discrepancies, because the conditions are completely different.
Run an analysis in the package, choosing the 5 files you gave to one of the translators first, then compare the results. Otherwise you will always have lemons and cherries...
