Editor statusbar - number of character in segment now without spaces

Hi,

since the last update (SDL Trados Studio 2017 SR1), the shown number of characters in the active segment in the status bar in Editor on the right side above is now without the spaces! I do not find how to change this setting. Can you help me?

Please note: I'm translating strings with strict lenghts, I absolutely need to see the number of characters WITH space characters in the active segment to formulate the best translation.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Isabelle

Jerzy shows me already this solution but it's too laborious for me. In my files, I have to pay attention for several lenghts (3 differents). So I have to take a look in the preview to see the code in the xml-file, afterward I need a solution directly in Editor to see with only one look what number of chars I have in my target segment.

And honestly, I agree with Jerzy, I can't imagine someone translating, who needs to see the number of chars without spaces.
What a strange idea to show this!

I will wait THE right fix (I had one today but unfortunatly it was not useful for my problem) and count the spaces "with my fingers", adding them to the number shown in the remaining time. ;-)

Please tell your colleagues in R&D that a setting for this statusbar report could be a good solution for all ranges of users.

    So long
