I have installed Trados 2006 with upgrade 2007 on my new PC but I cannot see the Trados buttons in Word 2007....why?

Do I need to install Windows 2010?

or buy a new upgrade? or the new programme 2017?

Will all my previous translation memories be read by the new programme?

I am a freelancer since 10 year and I don't want to loose all my jobs!!

  • Hi ,

It's not the PC that's the problem... everyone has 64-bit these days... it's the version of Office. If that's 64-bit then the toolbar macros won't work. I didn't give you the links to the article to fix your problem... it was to show you how to use your old resources if you upgrade.

I can't fix your problem... it probably just too old. If you want to use old software you have to keep an old setup. Your problem could be related to your version of windows or your version of office. Certainly we have not tested Trados 2006 on anything for over ten years!

    Regards
