Can't finalize Excel 2016 files

Question

I have Trados Studio 2017 and can't finalize Microsoft Excel 2016 files. I have to convert the Excel 2016 files in Excel 2003 to get the result. Is there a missed setting in my parameters ? Or is this a bug in Trados 2017? Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Letizia Ricci 
 Thanks for sending me the test project. You are actually using the old Excel filetype. Go to your File -> Options and change your filetype to ensure you use the new "SpreadsheetML v. 1" filetype aka "Microsoft Excel 2007-2016" and it works perfectly. 
 
 There are a few, so just make sure you use this one instead: 
 
 Note that you have to do this before you prepare your project. Once the project is created it's too late. So you need to recreate the project with this version, then pretranslate from your TM.

If you open the source file in Studio again as a new project can you immediately save the target before you have even translated the file? If you can then something has gone wrong during the translation process. 
 
So, if you can save the target then add the TM you used for the work you have already done and pre-translate the file and save target again. 
 
If this doesn't help and you can't save the target from a fresh project then can you share the files with us? If so, email the source file and the fully translated sdlxliff to pfilkin@sdl.com and we'll see if we can find the problem.
