Translation memory metadata (changed/used by/on) in Studio 2015

Hi all, 

while cleaning some TMs I found the used/modified by/on .. information rather ambiguous in a translator-reviewer scenario:

 

Options used by, modified by

Situation 1: segment was translated and confirmed by reviewer without correction

  • Last used by: reviewer
  • Last modified by: translator

Situation 2: Segment was translated and confirmed by reviewer with correction

  • Last used by: translator
  • Last modified by: reviewer

→ ambiguous: translator has not used this segment (it was changed)

 

Options used on, modified on:

Situation 1: segment was translated and confirmed by reviewer without correction

  • Last used on: confirmation by reviewer
  • Last modified on: confirmation by translator

Situation 2: Segment was translated and confirmed by reviewer with correction

  • Last used on: confirmation by reviewer
  • Last modified on: confirmation by reviewer

→ ambiguous: "Last used by: translator" but "Last used on: confirmation by reviewer", time stamp refers to different phase

 

Can anyone confirm this, or am I missing something?

    I haven't tested in 2015, but the 2017 results are a little hard to understand too:

    Segment was translated and confirmed by reviewer without correction

    Seems to make sense and I'm clear with this.  Matches your findings in 2015.

    Segment was translated and then confirmed by reviewer with correction

    This one doesn't make sense to me.  The times are good, but I think the "last modified by" and the "last used by" should be "reviewer."

    The last results also seem to differ to what you have found.  I'll pick this up with development and see if they can explain this, or if not just log it as a bug.
