Don't know of there is anything what can be done in Studio, but in Powerpoint you have the same option to set the paragraph format as in Word:

Anyway... I think this option in Studio can help...
For unknown reason it's turned OFF in Powerpoint file type by default, while in other Office file types it's turned ON by default (not mentioning that it's called differently in each file type)...

Well, while that's also a way, the only 'proper' and 'clean' way is to set the properties of the Slide Master. That's how Powerpoint is intended to be used.

It's similar to using styles in Word - while you can certainly apply formatting manually to each piece of text (and unfortunately, way too many users do it like this), the only 'proper' and 'clean' way is to use styles.
