We were able to reproduce and resolve an issue very similar to what you are reporting here; reported during one of the beta releases for CU8. The original issue can be found from here
I haven’t been able to reproduce this issue since, against the CU8 release. Please let us know if you see this issue again and steps to reproduce.

Hi Patrick,
This has been happening to me too for a month or so. Went to post a question and found this thread has posted about it. Only happens when I reset the window.
My "work around" is to switch views. Going to report shows this:
And then when I go back to editor, it moves to the side. Would be nice if this did not exist...
Current build is 14.1.6413.8
