No upgrade to Ulimate?

Question

I would like to upgrade from Freelance 2017 Plus to Ulitmate. But there is no such upgrade on offer. Why is this so? 
 I have been advised by Sales to purchase a 400&euro; licence for TermExtract. This is not exactly the solution I had in mind...

An upgrade is normally from one version to the next with the same software on offer. The Ultimate Edition includes something you don't have yet so this is most likely why you can't upgrade to it.

The Freelance Plus upgrade is just an additional licence of the same software. You are asking for a completely new piece of software, so it's not the same. 
 
I think your best course of action is to contact your sales advisor and see if you can negotiate a better price with your argument... it is Xmas!!
