While opening a xliff file, Studio keeps loading the file indefinitely and it is not possible to start translating

Question

I've just received a xliff file from one of my regular customers When I try to open the file either directly by dubble clicking of by opening it via Studio - isolated text to translate, the program starts to load the file and then freezes 
 Any idea?

Thanks Paul for your quick reaction. 
I think I have pinpointed the cause of the problem and possibly a malfunction in Studio 
This client of mine makes me work with a TM in a groupshare. There was apparently a technical issue and the groupeshare TM was not accessible. But instead of displaying an error message, Studio frenetically tries to connect on the background, preventing the application to run normally. In my view, the groupshare memory should be deactivated in that case, so the translator can continue working with a local TM. SDL should look into that. 
Meanwhile, the groupeshare server is available again and everything is back to normal. 
But I thought this case might be useful to others

I have no idea! It may be your version of Studio (you didn't tell us anything about that), it may be the type of XLIFF file you are trying to open, it may even be a corrupted file, and it may be a problem with Studio. But we need a little more to go on. 
 
Can you share the file so we can rule that out? You can email it to pfilkin@sdl.com if this is acceptable for you?
