thanks for your answer. I unlocked any locks in the file and tried to upload the fields but nothing worked.

Example:

Bezeichnung der Verarbeitungstätigkeit: Verwaltung der Personalstammdaten und Führen der Personalakte

Verantwortlicher Ansprechpartner: <XXXXX>

Stand (Datum) der Erhebung: <TT.MM.JJJJ>

Kurzbeschreibung der Verarbeitungstätigkeit:

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

The XXXX stand for the MS Word form fields that have to be filled by the end user. They actually contain explanations that need to be translated. This text is partly not exported to xliff and even if, the translation is not imported to the traget file in the end.

Thanks for sending me the files to test.  I couldn’t do anything with them because they are locked down.  I couldn’t even edit them in Word.  So, I edited the underlying XML and unlocked the file.  Then it all handled as expected.

The way to unlock the files if you don’t have the password is this:

1. Save the DOCX as a Word XML document
2. Open the XML in a text editor
3. Search for w:enforcement="1" and replace it with w:enforcement="0"
4. Save the XML and open it up in Word again
5. Save the file as a DOCX and now everything should be editable
6. Open the file in Studio and you should be good to go

At least the test file I created from your files after using this approach allowed me to extract all the text for translation.  Once done you should probably reverse the process for the target file.
