Me again, I've just read this thread which is similar to the other one you created. Further to what Paul has said, have you tried using a different keyboard to see if a trigger delay on your current keyboard might be the problem?

It is possible but undesirable to disable ALT shortcuts in the Windows Registry but you would possibly not be able to use ALT+TAB then.

Two suggestions depending on what is actually happening, if you have tested this behaviour with an alternative keyboard and it is still happening:

If the ALT key has been pressed and the initial letters of each function are still highlighted - press the ALT key again, then focus should return to wherever you left it in Studio. That works for me, anyway.

The solution when you find the program switching from tab to tab - use TAB plus the Windows key to switch out of the program and back into it.

Hi Jan,

I found your post because I'm having the same issue.

I switch apps on Windows with Alt-Tab frequently, and the key tipps are not the real problem, because other apps have them too, like my browser: There is File, Edit, View etc.

But only in Trados Studio, these are activated once I begin typing where I left (in the Editor). So quite often, unintentionally I open the Blog (Alt E-I) or the Sign-In dialog (Alt-S).

I suspect it has to do with the different way of activating the menu shortcuts in Studio compared to other apps. See images below.
