Creating New Translation Memories in Studio 2017

Question

I am having issues creating a new translation memory in Studios 2017. Every time I try doing so an error message pops up and cannot do anything. Work in several languages and cannot seem to create any memory base for second language

 Can you tell us what the error message is? The best thing would be to share the error message itself like this:

ok - I would do a reset first and see if this helps. I don't know exactly why you are seeing this error with these operations but a reset can often fix a number of strange things. 
 
Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0 
 
So the path would become this: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0_old 
 
If you can't find this folder then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders: 
 
 www.howtogeek.com/.../ 
 
If that doesn't help, and if no one else has any bright ideas from having seen this before, then log a support case. For licensing or installation issues that prevent you from working we have a route for all customers to get help and I would say this classes as an installation issue.
