How to fix the errors in xliff file so that it can be processed in Studio?

Dear Studio 2017 users,

I am working on a project that contains over a dozen WPML xliff files.  One of the files failed to open in Studio with the errors shown in the screenshot.

Does anyone know how to fix these errors in Notepad++ by looking at the error information provided by Studio?

    Hi Paul,

    I was thinking about sending you the problem file, but feeling I have bugged you too much so I was trying to "fix" it myself:)
    Anyway, I was just writing my progress in this thread (until I saw your response a few minutes ago). I mentioned that I did "fix" the xliff file by replacing partially translated target content with source content in Notepad++ and was able to open the revised xliff in Studio and created a source only xliff by saving target as. But this new file can't be processed in Studio with the custom xml filetype, with an error saying the file contains unexpected elements.
    Thank you for offering to see the file. I am sending them (the original xliff, the supposedly fixed xliff, the source only xliff) your way.
