Error message Impossible de localiser le fichier de données demandé.

Hello,

my Studio 2017 crashed a while ago and when I tried to open it again, the error message Impossible de localiser le fichier de données demandé. appeared. I've uninstralled it and restarted the pc and reinstalled it (even the newer versions do the same thing) but nothing works. As soon as I try opening a file, Studio starts and before I'm able to even find the file, this message appears and when I click OK, the windows and Studio close. I really need to resolve this problem as it prevents me from using Studio 2017.

Thank you,

Isabelle

  • Hi ,

You might benefit from a reset. Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0

So the path would become this:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0_old

If you can't find this folder then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders:

    www.howtogeek.com/.../
