Hi,
How can I do to see the images (that are saved in a folder of my Desktop) of my XML source file in the XML Preview window of Studio?
The English source XML file contains Facebook posts and local links to images. The XML source file has a stylesheet.xsl and I created a customized XML file type in Studio.

That's exactly what I meant. Aplogies for not sending your files yet but I can't get this to work in Studio correctly with your files so have asked for some advice that a little slow coming!
Your original stylesheet didn't work for me at all, even in my testing application. So I changed it as above and now that works. But it's not working in Studio as I'm seeing a central directory error that I can't figure out. Once the development team have time to get back to me I'll know better what the problem is.
I have attached an example of one that works in case you want to consider revising the way you handled this in general and then you might be able to move forward.
It could be that a slightly different approach, if you have control over the data and it looks as though you do, might work for you.

That took me a lot longer than I thought it might but I eventually sorted it out:
I have attached all the files I used and the sdlftsettings file. I will add that even when I got to this stage it still failed at first and I was also slightly frustrated by then because I couldn't see why I got a "couldn't find the central directory error message" whenever I previewed. Out of desperation I redid the images you gave me as they were the only thing I had no validation of... and when I resized them it worked! So I think there must be an issue we need to address relating to the size of the images used in the stylesheet preview because in one of my attempts I did resize the images using a command in the stylesheet with a different way to tackle it closer to your initial effort, but that still gave me an error.
I also tried using these smaller images in your stylesheet but that also failed... although I think it may be just a simple path issue that you may be able to find now you know it should work. I have attached the one that eventually worked for me so hopefully you can use this as a model for your task.

Oops, sorry, I forgot to ask: if I add additional images, do I need to resize them all on top of keeping the ‹size width="75"/› tags in the source XML file? I see that in the attached "Images" subfolder, all the images seem to be resized.

Based on the tests I made this will only work with images that have been resized before you add them to Studio. So changing the size width in the stylesheet will not help you. It's easy enough to bulk change the size of images however, but it is an additional step.
If you find you can do this without resizing them please send me your xml, xsl and images so I can check. But my own testing last night suggested that the size of the images being called were causing the problem for me. Probably I was just happy to find a solution by then so didn't investigate any further! I have given my findings to support however so they will investigate this more thoroughly.

I'd like to import the .sdlftsettings file in WorldServer to see if it's working but I don't know which File Type I should select between:
- Any XML File Type
- Custom XML (Embedded Content Processor) File Type
- Custom XML (Legacy Embedded Content) File Type
Which one should I select?

I created the FaceBook Posts one from scratch (under Custom XML (Embedded Content Processor) File Type) because I couldn't import the .sdlftsettings file. I got the following error messages when trying to import under one of the three XML file types above.
When I created the FaceBook Posts file type, I didn't get the Preview category like in Studio. Do you think it will work anyway?
I will test it but I don't know how the translation package will work in Studio if the .sdlftsettings doesn't know that it needs to use the stylesheet.xsl file.
In this case I think you should post this question into the WorldServer Group and not here. Looks as though it's something you'll need to know about WS and the features available for compatibility with filetypes created in Studio.

Hi Paul,
SDL Support team will investigate on the issue I'm facing about file type import from Studio to WorldServer.
In the meanwhile, I came up with another question: can the Preview functionality of Studio handle Facebook videos and GIF images? Do I need to resize them also, like you did for the JPG files?
