Verify check in SDL Trados Studio 2017 - extremely slow

For the past month, we have been experiencing extreme lag with the Verify check in SDL Trados Studio 2017 to the point where we have had to do our QA checks elsewhere as our sessions have been freezing. Is this a known issue at SDL or what can be done to resolve it? This doesn't appear to be an issue with our 2015 licenses.

    May I ask why you're not currently considering upgrading to Multiterm 2017?

    If it is a question of expense, it costs nothing because it comes free with Studio 2017. All you have to do is download it once from your SDL account then install it on all your machines.

    If it is a question of IT time, it would take no more time than that which you are already losing every time your verifications take too long.

    Upgrading to 2017 is the only logical next step to take. If, after that, you find that the software is still taking too long to verify, then you will have a valid case to present to SDL and it will become their problem to solve.

    If you do not install the MultiTerm version that is designed to work with Studio 2017, I would say that SDL has no obligation to provide an alternative solution and in fact may not be able to do so.

    Do you see what I mean? 

    Apart from that, do try a Windows repair on both Studio and all MultTerm components after first making sure they're both up to date... Let me know if you need instructions for this.
