Number localization

My Trados Studio 2017 has not been localizing numbers properly of late. For example, if I use "Ctrl+," numbers in target language remain the same a sin source language. It does not propagate properly either and I have to correct them manually.

Thanks in advance for your help

  • Hello ,

Normally quickplace (CTRL+,) should auto-localize based on your project languages-
So any further information you can provide would help greatly.
Are all numbers not being localised correctly? or is it certain numbers/times dates/currency? or even alphanumeric strings maybe?

Could you post a screen shot so we can see what is actually happening and visualise the issue please.

  • Thank you for your answer.
They are neither dates nor currency just numbers with or without units.
I'm afraid I can't send you a screenshot, for confidentially reasons.
    Examples would be:
    English version:
As of the 02‑Mar‑2013 data cutoff, the median... was 19.2 months.
    Spanish version should be:
Hasta la fecha de corte de los datos, el 2 de marzo de 2017, la mediana de... fue de 19,2 meses. (here Ctrl+,+Enter Trados Studio produces a dot instead of a comma, i.e. 19.2 instead of 19,2)
    Another example
    English version:
    0.524, 1.166; p = 0.113).
    Spanish version should be
    0,524, 1,166; p = 0,113).
    But with Ctrl+,+Enter the Trados Studio produces: 0.524, 1.166; p = 0.113).

Thank you in advance for your help,

    Diana
